What Marshmot Convention?

You must be new here! This kind of stuff just happens every once in a while. We are very sorry, but your event was cancelled.
... So, you have to figure out what else to do! Do you want to lay about or go take a stroll? It's your choice. There are quite a few things to do around here.
A game with 5 endings, and if you get all 5, you unlock extras on the main menu.
Created for the "Celebrate" Cafe Dot Game Jam.
Controls:
When entering the game, you can move the mouse to the top of the screen to find your cursor states, inventory, saving, loading, and options. You are also able to switch cursor states by using the scroll wheel.
Disclaimers:
I recommend you download the game instead of playing the web version, if you can. But the web version is perfectly functional.
The inventory items have weird hitboxes. You have to click them in a weird spot to use them, but you can use them.
If you want to get all the endings and not lose them when you quit, you have to make in-game saves that you can load up later.

I'm loving the art style and atmosphere, however I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm to the part where you can go in the bathroom and look in the mirror, got that ending. But when I don't know what else to do, and also when I leave the bathroom there is a weird glitch where it flashes between the phone screen and the room screen. I can still interact with stuff but very disorienting.
Seems very cool though, would love to see a walk through and/or bug patch.
The website was super cool as well, and I'm enjoying seeing the Marshmot universe expanded.

to get other endings, you can 1. watch the other movie, which will cause you to leave the motel room and you can get two other endings by selecting different dialogue prompts. or 2. leave the motel room, where you can get two other endings by selecting different dialogue prompts with cecil, if i recall correctly. i know some people have had trouble with leaving the motel room i think; you're supposed to put your mouse at the bottom of the screen to find the hotspot label that allows you to click it and leave.
very sorry about the glitch. im pretty sure ive come across a similar one, or even the same one, so im not sure why it wasn't fixed. i know why it happens but damn thats annoying. i should probably fix it eventually, but its not game-breaking, just very disorienting as you said.

yeah even if i talk to him i cant get past the intro
You talk to him once when you enter, and then you have to talk to him again, and at the bottom of the screen there will be a hotspot that you can interact with to leave the lobby.
I probably missed something, but I don't know how to leave Terry's lobby. how do I leave the room?
You have to talk to him again to open the leaving hotspot!
ahh thanks! also I didn't realize that you move by clicking on prompts on the edges of the screen. (commenting in case anyone else got stuck bc of this, haha.)

Very polished, enjoyable to play, and a delightful introduction to Marshmot. But um...did I get the wrong Neocities URL? I don't remember the Marshmot website's layout being black and cyan...
